Non-Profit Success was founded in 2002 by Gerald Sweitzer, and is located in Easley (10 miles west of Greenville) S.C. After starting in Lawrencevile, GA., he moved to Easley S.C. for a better quality of life and less traffic. Easley is equal distance to Atlanta GA., Charlotte N.C., and Columbia S.C., allowing us to expand our services into more southeastern states.
Non-Profit Success provides consulting, training, and services for nonprofits throughout the Southeast. Through our commitment, experience, and expertise, Non-Profit Success is establishing a business relationship with our clients that will lead to excellence in non-profit management for your organization.
With over 25 years experience in non-profit organizations, Gerald Sweitzer has strengths and expertise in nonprofit accounting, finance, software for non-profit use, office management, purchasing, retail store operation, intranet applications, fund raising, writing, marketing, computers and technology, human resources, public relations, volunteer management, and governing board relations. He has been Business Manager with the following forms of non-profit organizations:
• Church: Two 2,500 member congregations in metro Atlanta, and a number of consulting and part-time engagements in churches up to 12,000 members. Other faith-based organizations have employed him, or hired him as a consultant. He is the former Controller and Assistant Treasurer of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.
• Independent School: Two schools; one a 400 student boarding school with grades 8th--12th; the other a 180 student Atlanta school with grades K--8th.
• Cultural/Museum Organization: A major Atlanta cultural attraction with 10,000 members and 100,000 annual visitors.
• Membership Organization: A $1.5 million revenue membership organization in Georgia with 1,200 members.


As a Consultant/Trainer, he trained staff in the use of software including: QuickBooks®, ACS, & Peachtree Accounting. He has provided consulting to nonprofits in both Georgia and South Carolina in the area of governance and various nonprofit management topics. He is a member of the Social Enterprise Alliance, and approved consultant with The Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations, the Social Enterprise Alliance, and the former North Georgia Community Foundation Nonprofit Network.

Professional Accomplishments & Education:
He served as chairperson of the Atlanta Host Committee for the 7th Annual Gathering of the Social Enterprise Alliance in Atlanta Ga. March 7-10, 2006. He has been a member of the board of directors of two nonprofit organizations in Atlanta.  He was Chairman of the Pickens County Vision 2025 Implementation Committee.  He also serves as a member of the board of the United Way of Pickens County, and the S.C. United Way Association.

Co-author "The 50 Best Small Southern Towns" (Peachtree Publishers, Oct. 2001-Gerald Sweitzer & Kathy Fields) A second edition was published in  2007.
