QuickBooks Premier Nonprofit Edition 2010/2012:
Specifically designed for nonprofits, with reports and tools to help you manage your organization's finances more easily. The nonprofit-specific Chart of Accounts, IRS 990 Report, Pledge and Donation Forms and Thank You Letters make this nonprofit edition faster and easier for nonprofits. Fundraising Software
GiftWorks is a relatively new fund raising software package for the small nonprofit. This affordable donor management software integrates with QuickBooks, and offers a good volunteer management, events management, and on line donations add ons to complement the contributor database. GiftWorks Standard is very capable, and under $700. A Premium version with enhanced capability and security is under $1,000. You can see more at their website Missionresearch. Elite, an ideal e-mail newsletter program for nonprofits who need a communication tool to stay in touch with members or constituents. Another good e-mail newsletter service is Vertical Response, which is free for non-profits. Elite charges by the number of e-mails you send out, instead of a flat monthly fee. More about this service in coming months as I use it.
